Dinner at Grandma Moag's

Grandma's kitchen is finally finished being renovated. It looks totally amazing. She even copied our concrete countertops.

Fall is here!

It's getting chilly on the walk to school. Plus daycare requested that Isla starts wearing shoes because she chews on her socks all day now and they get all gross and wet.

More Laughing

Isla really loves this game...

Say hello to Isla's new cousin!

Isla got a new baby cousin this Saturday! Jack Riley was born on September 13th very late at night (I can't remember the exact time). He really didn't want to come out of his Mommy's belly, but the very nice doctor finally grabbed him with some forceps! I was very excited to be able to be there for the birth. It was totally awesome! Brooke did an amazing job.

Big Girl Stroller

Isla is finally big enough to fit in her stroller without the infant car seat! I thought she'd be totally psyched to be able to look at something besides her parents for the whole way to school, but she mostly just zones out for the ride.

Baby Legs!

Last week there were some hints that Fall might actually be on its way, so we got to break out Isla's Baby Legs for the cooler stroller ride to school.

Isla clearly loves the look.

These are the same Baby Legs from this picture. Ha!

She looks a little manic in this outfit. We're thinking we might to pick up a few solid-colored onesies so she doesn't look quite so crazy.

Sitting!

Isla is getting very good at sitting by herself. She still falls over when she reaches too far, but usually doesn't mind.

Hanging out with Mom & Dad

Isla's daycare was closed all week! So Nick and I and both Grandmas took turns watching Isla. Thanks Grandmas! Isla starts daycare again tomorrow and most of the other babies in her room are moving up to the toddler room. She'll get to meet a bunch of new babies!

We also finally cut off Isla's little sideburns/curls!

Uncle Sam M. goes to college

Nick's brother Sam is starting his freshman year at Hopkins this year. We're very excited to have him so close by! We all went to help him move in this weekend. Well, mostly Isla and I stood around while everyone else helped.

Yummy Solids!

I love these messy eating pictures! Isla is still loving her solids.

So far I've been making most of her food by baking/grilling/steaming and then pureeing. I freeze the food in silicone ice cube trays and then move them into freezer bags. Our freezer is starting to get pretty full of yummy baby food! Each cube is 1 ounce. So far Isla eats about 2 for breakfast and 3 for lunch and dinner.

New Bathtub!

Isla officially grew out of the tub that fits in the kitchen sink. So we got this blowup one that fits inside of our bathtub. She loves it! She can sit up really well in it and can splash a lot easier than in the little tub.
